Outstanding is in the eye of the beholder. Many (most, I daresay) of
these "very cool designs" fail miserably where usability and
accessibility are concerned. Pretty graphics or kewl JavaScript or
Flash effects don't mean diddly if they make a site unusable.

How do you know. I had a look at a few of them. In all cases the font was so
stupidly small that I simply could not read it. I left. Immediately.

You may *think* ppl[sic] can see them. You even may hear from those who can
and have taken the trouble of letting you know.

You will never ever hear from somebody who simply leaves the site because of
the inability to read it.
