Explain yourself.

I'm sure he's not going to do it for free.

Crystal ball? or other reasons?

You've been warned.

I'm sure he's grateful. Saves all that wasted effort ;-)

Anyway, give us some reasons why you think as above.

Explain yourself.
If you need it explained to you, that means that you're not a designer
either, so an explanation is futile.

If the reason it's not obvious enough for you, explaining it would be a
waste of time.

You're a coder, isn't it, Jake?

This message's been cross-posted; guess what NG I'm writing from...

I'm not much of a designer myself, but right away I see (Opera 7.23):

- distracting background
- fonts specified which are not on my computer, replaced with TNR
- poor color coordination
- navigation box and content box are out of alignment

In general, the page isn't terribly aesthetic.

You're going to have to do better than that if you want to be taken
seriously. Give it a go, Pepe, you're amongst friends.

Nope. You've got to do better than that. So, start imparting some of
your wisdom on to us mere mortals.

Says who? You? Who are you? Do you represent some association or something?
I didn't see any credentials presented... because threre are none!

Let's put some things into place here:
I gave my opinion to the actual person that happens to have asked for.
The post was NOT directed to you.
Anyway, coming out from nowhere, you hijack the thread and demand to have
explained the obvious.

Sorry, pal; it just doesn't work that way. Why should I care about you and
what you may think or not? You're not even relevant to the thread. You're
just binary noise...

I'm not your teacher, Jake. Use Google. If you don't know how to use a
search engine, don't ask me to teach you; I don't teach for free...

Maybe now is all a little bit more clear for you, Jake. If it isn't, don't
even bother to tell me; whine to somebody else that might care.

Now that I think of, you don't even pass the "Troll 101" test...

Heh. He represents what people think of those who criticize without
backing up their statements. You are the one who pointed out this site was
poorly designed. jake merely asked why, and now you're all huffy like
you're too important to answer the question.

Clue: You are posting to Usenet. If you aren't interested in discussing
graphic design in alt.design.graphics, why on Earth are you here?

Are threre any for you? Far as I can tell you're nobody. Specifically, a
nobody who spouts off criticism with no interest in supporting his
position.

Welcome to Usenet. If you don't want discussion of your posts, feel free
to keep them to yourself.

As are you. That point is moot. But as this is Usenet we are all relevant
to the thread, hmm?

Apparently you're a complete dick for free.

No one asked for a fucking lesson, Mister Ego. He asked why you think it's
bad design. Geez, if you can't back up your statements with a little
supporting fact, keep them off of Usenet.

I hope you're a troll, because anyone who's seriously as worked up as you
are over a fucking simple on-topic question needs help. Bye, have a nice
day.

A correction - he commanded a lesson.
"Explain yourself" is an imperative (and rude).

Jake is not the Supreme Leader of Usenet
(last time I checked ... must remember to ask the other mice ...)

So Jake got the lesson that he asked to receive, although it was not the
one that he wanted. You too, are delivering a lesson. Is it the lesson
that you intended? Probably it is not.

By the way, I just soaked up some piss from a minor prick at my work ...
hmmm, time to flame ALL OF YOU ... =D
