Thoughts on Color Contrast

Take a look at the color contrast of the site below. Is the contrast
between the background 9900FF and body white to harsh on the eyes?

It's going to be an toy store

I eased up on the 9900FF and went to 985AFE....I think it's a bit
easier on the eyes, any thoughts?

Not much different to my eyes. Remember, adults must use the toy

The blue background is very distracting - in my opinion, it will
definitely have a negative effect on sales.
