How about a white background? Or keep the blue background, but put all
of the content in a white container that takes up most of the width of
the screen.

I would also add more padding into the cells of the table so that
there's more whitespace.

That's about all I can suggest. I don't consider myself a designer by
any means.

I'm sure you could simplify the date ID a bit - put the day of week at
the top of the table. Maybe a different color for Months.

I would probalby prefer to see a "SMTWRF" instead of dynamically
shifting days of week around. I think people tend to digest weeks as a
whole instead of relationally from the current day.

I'm not sure you need to have the leftmost column "date & class" since
both items are fairly obvious. What may become an issue is how you
handle multiple classes on a single day, in the case that happens.

You may want to investigate doing this page with style sheets, possibly
a fluid layout. In particular the register button could benefit from a
little customization in color. I don't think there's anything too bad
about the color scheme you've chosen - maybe grey up the blue a bit.
