Default Repeating background in CSS - 06-23-2004 , 07:29 PM

Is it possible to have a background image repeat itself using CSS code, but
only after a certain point? For example, have an image start 50 pixels down
the page and repeat from then on? So far all I can do is getting it
repeating all over the page. TIA

And another question to Els, how did you set up your guestbook to fit
exactly with your website? Most guestbook sites I've seen, impose their own
guestbook style on you. Thanks.

Not as such.

You could create another div within the bg'ed div and set it to have a
different background and give it a height of 50px. Of course, content
cannot overlap that dividing line (unless positioned into place, which
might be a bitch).

On my credits page (credits.html) I mention where I got it from,
but I altered the script a great deal. The script itself had all
the presentational html in it, which I took out, and I added my
own classes and my link to my own stylesheet.

I suppose you do need a little bit of understanding of Perl to
hack that script yourself though. Just enough to not screw it up
while changing the html in it.

And of course, your server needs to have Perl installed.
