I'd put the updates blog somewhere other than on the front page.

Most forums, I find, fall into the trap of assuming that visitors kno
what the site's all about, what it can do for them, and why they shoul
investigate further.

Yours is no different.

The title's okay, but it might be misleading. Make sure the pag
convinces me that it's not.

And I wouldn't have Google ads on that page, as that just encourage
yet more click-outs.
