Default rfc: critique / info for Moon Designs - 04-20-2007 , 06:51 PM

A friend is thinking about hiring the following
company to design/build a website for a family
business. Does anyone have any comments, good
or bad, about this company and/or their work?

As the text on their page is too small for me to read, I would
recommend staying away from them.

Never used them. Never heard of them. Visited their Website and still
don't know where they are (presumably somewhere in North America). Can
barely read their text, which does not resize. Their entire site made
using Flash, JavaScript and images without alt texts. Conclusion:
completely clueless as Web designers (whetaver their graphic talents may
be), so tell the friend to protect the family business and run away.

The graphics design is beautiful.
The page design is hideous. It looks like it is put together with an old
version of Dreamweaver.
- HTML Transitional DTD. Should be Strict
- Mixed HTML and XHTML syntax
- Ancient table-based layout
- Multiple use of the same ID
- Loads of inline styling. For anything beyond a couple of pages it will
be a mess to maintain.

Numerous validation errors,
Tables for layout.
Micro fonts.

Stay clear, theres better out there.

Hmmmm..... my daughter and I could not fathom the image of the moon
which appears to show the silhouette of a racoon transfixed upon a
wooden stake. Hmmmm......
