G'day
Please can I have some comments on the web site of the South African
Translators' Institute. The address is http://www.translators.org.za/.
I used to be a member of the institute and I'm trying to convince them
that the site is in dire need of attention. I've written the first
part of an attack (since they seem to be deaf to good advice), here:
http://www.vertaal.org/nineimages/, but I'm going to write a second
page or two with practical ideas on how they could improve the site.
Thanks in advance
Samuel Murray (aka leuce, voetleuce, throw)

It's reasonable good practice for 1998.

As it's such a simple site (minimal graphics, trivial layout, simple
navigation) then it's difficult to make a bad job of it. What they have
is sparse, possibly ugly, but it is broadly functional. You can make a
case for improving it, but the real benefits won't actually be that
great - bad _simple_ web design just doesn't suffer as badly as even
slightly-poor complicated web design.
