defend my 'opinions' to someone is a waste of time. And I don't have time
to waste. We were asked for an 'honest opinion', I gave some good advice,
according to my life experiences. Advice can be either taken or ignored and

I must've skipped over this.
Basic logic states that the power of the argument is independent of the
identity of the person making the argument.
If Saddam Hussein says that ice is cold, then the validity of the statement
rests ONLY on the assessment of "cold" and whether ice has that quality -
completely regardless of any lies or inaccurate stories told in the past.

That's just the way it goes.

There is no "power of the argument" when the argument is one person's
opinion.
Opinion is not fact. "Ice is cold" is a fact.

So you are comparing apples and oranges.

Please be really honest with me.

I don't get the point of the drawing in the top-left. It looks like a
bad effort of re-hashing a photo in PaintShop Pro. The colours in it
are peculiar, to say the least. It also looks like it's been stuck
there using a FrontPage wizard.

I drew that in Ultimate Paint. I wanted some graphics on the site, and
couldn't find anything suitable.

The initial page is too long.

The black band on the left doesn't blend with the other colours on the
page.

You mean the entire menu panel?

Then again, you're not selling your design skills are you? Technical
editing is a whole different ball game, so that should be the focus of
your site, shouldn't it?

Right. But I thought that exposing some of my artistic skills would be
helpful in an overall way. If you don't like this lady, you should have seen
the one I had before!!

I don't do Web sites for clients, Karl. I am an editor and writer. Speaking
of editing, you should have a fresh pair of eyes read your site to catch the
errors that I saw there, even in a very short and casual review.
