Default Factorials, need help in solve problem... - 03-03-2004 , 12:53 AM

Hi,

The problem is (n+1)/n! and the answer is n+1, how does that come about?

I know that if I have 8!/10! the answer is 1/90.
steps I did are as follows:
8!/10*9*8!
then I "cancel" out the 8! which leaves 1/90.

That I understand, but I don't understand the (n+1)\n! answer, please help.

Are you sure the problem isn't this one:

(n+1)! / n! = n + 1

Pretty easy explanation.

message there.

I was half asleep and wasn't being careful.
