I don't have a mousewheel. What should I do instead?

Why do you want to make your visitors work? Don't

Is it really that bad?
I don't intend to make people work to be able to use the site.
It was made to be as usable as possible.
The menu does need some subtlety, all of it does.

Mouse scroll was an example. Could be a colour swatch, wheel, slider
or an ordered list.
Lets forget about this as I don't js any good anyway.

Hire a hooker? <lol!
My colour blindness is not that bad yet.
A whore may not be interested in what kind of red I can get away with
here, but if she has luminous yellow stiletto's on, I'm all ears.

Thanks again for the comments.
Everything has been soaked up nicely.

Actually - in this newsgroup - you are asking other web developers
for a critique. Are we the public?

I think you are the public, but a more knowledgeable type of average
joe. If you are in the craft, you know what works and what doesn't.
This is why I came here first.

"More knowledgeable" would mean we were not "average joes", imo.

It's the weekend, a slow period around here. The two of us who
replied both said the red is too wild and bold.

That makes 2 people, from a html newsgroup. I'm sure that if I ask a
design newsgroup or a fly fishing newsgroup I will get very different
responses.

The design group is also interested in colours. The fisherman wouldn't
care one way or the other.

Does the bright green contact page look ok to you as well?

Ah.. the bright green page is legible to me.
The colour is not offensive, but it may be to others.

Bright green, with darker green form fields is, well, once again, hard
to read. Also, the insertion point in those fields seems to be red! I
would like to see this as well: input { font-size: 100%;}

Oh, before I forget: I'd recommend you do away with the large white
box-on-hover for your links in the upper right of your pages. A subtle
color change, or an appearing underline would suffice.

I am listening Beau.. if people say 'make it darker' I will. For me,
it's a compromise between what I like and what everyone else likes.

I suppose you can have fun with your colours if you wish, but I think
most people would agree that light text on any kind of dark background
is not as easy to read as black text on a near-white background.

The font size can easily be changed and so can the colour.
Of course they can, but how many people do you know who actually do
that? And would do it for one site, knowing they would have to unset
whatever they set after leaving your pages?

I do all the time. It's one keyboard shortcut. Apple (or ctrl) +
after leaving the site it's a quick apple (or ctrl) -

Sure. You and I and most reading this group know that. "Average Joe"
doesn't.

I miss sitting next to someone whos eye's I can borrow.

Hire a hooker? <lol!

He would be better paying $200 per hour and hireing a decent graphic
designer.

Hmm, my site is quite simple in design (but it's asstheticly pleasing
and consistent) across all pages.

Well yeah but my point is still rellivant. If you have trouble
comeing up with a decent design (that will work across all pages of
the site), for what ever reason (in my case it's due to low vision)
then you should consult a graphic designer.
