critique / weird ie6 problem

I am nearing completion on this site and am interested in feedback on
it. Especially, how it looks in different browsers on a Mac, but also
any other feedback, thoughts or ideas, or anything obvious i probably
missed. Note, some photos are duplicated, copy still rough (workingon
both).

Also, their is something weird happening on the menus page. There
should be a bottom 1px border on the h1 (menu), but in IE6 on my
windows xp the border is inconsistantly drawn. Sometimes it's there,
other times not. Sometimes it's there originally, but after scrolling
down on the page and then back up it, the bottom-border is gone. Any
ideas.

I recommend that you close your "a" tags with an end tag for better
compatibility. The end tag for "a" is required in HTML 4.01 (though I know
your page isn't HTML 4.01, you should still consider HTML 4.01 for
compatibility reasons and because XHTML is based on it).

I see no h2 in your code, but there are h3 and h4. I would replace
<tr class="subhead"><td>Breakfast</td> with h2. And all other
class=subhead.

On your homepage wine glasses looks like milk.

Otherwise, site looks nice, it validates as strict and I like it.

I do not know why, but adding "width:99%" to ".content h1" fixes it.

Also ".content h1" is defined in both stylesheets, styles.css and
menus.css .

cool. thanks. i defined it twice as a wild shot in the dark to get the
rule to not disappear. still a bit of cleaning up to do...
