I don´t like very much the colors you used, they are very sad.
I find the box of content too high and small. Maybe you could move it a bit
down, and with more height.

The background is a bit annoying when the page is loading and only the
background and the text appear, bacause you cannot read anything until the
white background is loaded.
About the menu, I think you could use different colors (contrasting and
funny, more expressive, maybe red) when over, instead of doubling the height
and turning white.
About the code, I find it clean. Maybe you could put the height and weight
of the image.

Once you enter trough one of the links, the top navigation bar results too
wide if the screen is big, and the logo and text are not centered.

Maybe using a table with a white background would help. I´m not completely
sure, but I think the tables were loaded as a whole, colors included, at
once.

Try it, just put after
<div id="blog">
the
<table bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><tr><td>
and close it
</td></tr>/table>
at the end of the div, just to try. If it works, you can make it permanent
giving a class value and putting all the values in the .css
Ok, if it doesn´t work, we´ll try anything different.
