I just changed the forms (mail, booking and guestbook) from tabled
layout to css'ed layout. I'm pretty pleased with the result.

Is it allowed to use the label and legend tags outside a form as well?

All critique is welcome. I took special care in making sure the website
looks good in a browser with css and images turned off. I guess this
will make the site appear good in text based browsers such as lynx too,
no?

You might want to take a look at:

Your HTML validates up nicely (I didn't check the CSS though).
But, overall your site looks good and is a lot more accessible then a
lot of other band websites.
BTW, the lable attribute should really only be used on forms, to give
some idea to a screan reader user as to what is in the form.
Which is another reason why it's good your site works well with images
and CSS turned off, it means that your site can be accessible to more
devices, includeing Screan Reading software and mobile phones.
