(google et al) it is virtually worthless and a waste of bandwidth.

I guessed that it was probably like that. Like many meta tags!

If you make the menu text sizes a fixed size, surfers will not be able to
mess with them!
....you could also try constructing your menu graphic in a different way to
allow people to choose their own font size as in this example:

not possible to fix the text size unless u have the menu as an image.

increasing the text size by that much will always screw things up because there isnt enuff
'breathing space' to allow the text to grow
