Delete all of the things that are a barrier to the information. The splash
page (*). The Sooo Slllooowww flash. The fixed
width design. That is, basically, the whole site.

Start again with content that is accessible and usable. Use flash if you
wish but make it an addition to the site, not a mandatory requirement.

(*) Here is what your home page looks like to a flash disabled viewer, which
includes all of the search engine bots and anybody out there who uses an
aural browser. This is case copy/pasted from lynx:

What is the point of a splash screen? It simply delays getting at the
information. OK, so it's a pretty picture of a piper (possibly the
worst instrument in the world), but what's the point?

Generally, I don't care for flash intros, but this one is particularly
nice. However, for those who don't have flash, you'd need to offer a
skip intro screen.

You have major accessibility problems.

The Intro. page takes so long to load and transfer to the main page that
many assistive technology (AT) users (e.g. screen-readers) will have
assumed that there's nothing on the site and moved on.

Just 'looking' at the first page you have problems with Flash, and with
missing alternative text:
