Huh?

Also, please don't post to Usenet in HTML. Text-only, please.

Then perhaps you would like to try a real newsreader. Here are some
good ones.

That's ok, so do I.

You just need to change a setting in your options:

Options > Send > News Sending Format > Select "Plain text"

Hmmm. Good call.

Gizak: <body id="sectionfour">
Alistapart: <body ... id="sectionone">

G: <div id="wrapper"> <div id="menu"> <ul> <li id="one">
A: <div id="wrapper"> <div id="menu"> <ul> <li id="one">

G: <div id="pagebody"><div id="maincontent">
A: <div id="pagebody"><div id="maincontent">

Here is the biggest difference:

G: <div id="footer"><p><A href= ...
A <div id="footer"><p><a href="/copyright/">Copyright</a>(c) A List Apart
....

A serious case of copy/paste.

A List Apart isn't accessible either :-)

Opera handled it fine. One of the things I like about Opera, it ignores
the HTML in posts and I just get the plain text.

You might also want to configure your newsreader^W Outlook Express to
use the standard quoting character:

I agree here too.

So does Thunderbird. <g> I didn't even realize it was also in HTML
until someone else mentioned it. And wouldn't have posted the [mess]
except the OP was puzzled about it.
