Youtube's site layout.

Youtube's listings of videos provide sample snapshots of each video;
that is snapshots are the middle portions of the videos. Do most
people feel that middle samples of videos are usually representative
of a video's content?

No, not really. What I'd like is to be able to use a flash slider to
select which frame is thumbnailed.
Still, there are worse things about Youtube's design than the position of
it's thumbnails!
