Default wierd alignment error - 12-06-2004 , 12:38 PM

I am having a wierd error that I haven't been able to fully track down
yet. Wondering if you guys have any ideas.

I am using a JS menu from dynamicdrive.com, (yah, I got lazy). Anyways,
I have positioned it on my page with all the options, however, I have
noticed that if you run your mouse over the "About Us" option the page
sometimes wants to re-align itself, something to do with the centering
of the page I think. I have 2/3 pages that I have noticed this on:

http://userunfriendly.com/newuu/
http://support.userunfriendly.com/
http://forum.userunfriendly.com/

Also, the problem doesn't appear in all browsers, just certain ones,
like I know some people noticed it in FireFox 1.0. If you guys could
take a look and see if you notice anything that would be great. It is
just a small glitch, but I want to make sure I can get it fixed before
moving on with the site.

Thanks,
Darin

Gazing into my crystal ball I observed Darin Miller <darinm (AT) purdue (DOT) edu>

Well, with js turned off, no one can access your menu. That means that
search engine bots can't crawl the site. Do you really want to do that?

If you Google for CSS menus you'll find less hazard prone solutions.

Don't do that.

Without JS, your pages become unusable. Look for a good CSS menu, and
write it such that all the links are available even if the browser (or
search engine!) doesn't have CSS. JS can be used to add enhancements,
but should not be used to implement basic required functionality.

Yah I am aware of the JS issue. I was just wondering if anyone you
noticed the alignment glitching upon scrolling on it?

and the problem i have had with the CSS menus is getting them to work
correctly in older IE browsers..
