I've managed to get inbetween an arugment about what is typical in site design these days involving deliverables. |

I'll start with my take... I've been running web sites since '93 and I've always told the developer up front that I want the source files. In the early days some had a problem with it and others didn't. About 5 years ago it seemed typical for the designers to charge a bit extra or redo their bid when the source issue was brought up. Recently I've delt with three types. One just sends the source files along with the deliverables. The other sill provide it if asked for and the third only will give out source if its in the contract. So what is typical or is there a typical? |
