Site Search Commercial | Manufacturer's Poor

It amazes me how many sites have bad search. Often I can find after
refining google site: searches
Partially explored example
site:www.lithonia.com inurl:"Products/Family.asp" inurl:Brand=LL
inurl:Family=

No way was I able to find this by navigating Lithonia's site. Because I
didn't first 'touch down' on Lithonia's home page, I didn't notice a link
to sire search nor to site map. The product index looked ok, but google
site: found it faster.
