well, I'm not putting up a search engine. And the number of people who turn
off js is minimal.

posted on usenet. Note also that publicly disclosing information sent to
you privately without prior approval by the other party is considered
extremely bad form. Regardless of possible prior disrespect by others of
your *personal* idea of how people should respond to publicly posted
messages.

No, what is meant is that Google does not run Javascript found on pages
it is indexing. If you want Google to find you, don't rely on Javascript.

I know it does not, but it does not matter since the content is in the page
(it is not generated); it just sits on an invisible layers which is shown
when it's content is fully loaded. Spiders are not very smart.

it depends on the target audience and on the type of site. you can bend the
rules.
