Default Site layout CSS/table issue - 07-15-2005 , 07:09 PM

Hello,

I'm having a hell of a time getting a customer's site to work with my
company's functionality. Basically their style sheets are not
cooperating with the functionality of our tables. Everything was
looking good until the footer <div> tags were put in place, at which
point design hell breaks loose. At the link below:

http://www.adamdesigns.com/dware/p01.asp

I need to get the big table with the image and the table of contents to
the right of it back up alongside the top header and left navigation.
Then, I need to find a way to get that footer working.

The style sheet is linked in the source of that page, and is slightly
modified. The customers original un-altered stylesheet can be found
here:

http://www.adamdesigns.com/dware/donline.css

If anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated. If any source
or additional info is needed please let me know.

Thanks,
Adam

Sorry, disregard the above two links. Reference these instead to see
what I'm talking about:

Thanks.

"Best viewed at 800x600 screen size in IE or Netscape 4.0" ? It won't
even fit on a maximized Firefox window at 1024, without a horizontal
scrollbar.

Have you looked at the page with JavaScript disabled? In a modern
browser? I'd suggest you fix that first.

Me thinks this is the price of using MS Products for the page design
process.

All that javascript is wasted hand waving. You're doing
things in a round-about way.

That's quite broken, even before I zoom text enough so I can actually
read it. FYI, 10px is exactly half the size of my browser default. If
you were to use font-size:50% instead, it would be the same to me, but
how would it look to *you* then? After that, enlarge the text size in
your browser a couple notches and see how it falls apart even more.

You should start over. I know that isn't the assistance you were looking
for, but it looks like that's the assistance you need.
The original poster should use old-fashioned html table for the layout.
Having accomplished that, use css for the decoration.
