[OT] What should I charge for a sponsored link?

I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to post this question. If you know
a better newsgroup please let me know and I'll repost there.

Let me get straight to the question: What should I charge for a
sponsored link?

I've only found one useful link that discusses the subject (via a web
search) I've been getting requests for adding sponsored links on my
main page. The found link suggests flat monthly fee. Would $50/month
for a site that gets roughly 50k visits per year be reasonable? I have
no visions of grandiose here just trying to take advantage of requests
for advertising that are appropriate to the subject of my site. The
sponsored link is a simple link, under the heading sponsored link.
I've also been asked to advertise with larger Google type links but
I'm not setup for that and have no idea how to do it.
