Link Bar - can't add bookmark - right "mode?"

Hi,

I can't add bookmarks to the link bar. (Frontpage 2002.)

Insert -> Navigation -> Bar with custom links
In "link bar properties" -> Add link -> Place in this document
I get the error message "Internal hyperlinks are disabled in this mode"

I can add links to local and external files OK.

What is the correct mode?

I found the same question answered back in 2002. The person said the
page had to be opened within a Web. I don't know if that worked as
there was no reply. Anyway, I do have a Web open.

I can manually change the links with a seperate editor after Frontpage
generates the full source (to add the "#[bookmark] at the end or the
URL), and these links work properly. I don't see why Frontpage won't
accept them.

This has nothing to do with site-design what so ever...

or any of the other specific frontpage group. One could also RTFM of course.

I thought that someone who used Frontpage might be aware of a bug or
work-around.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestion of the other group. That group was
in the header of the message you replied to.

I don't see any other relevant frontpage or web site building groups on
my newsfeed group list.

You don't use FrontPage to design a site. *You* use FrontPage to
implement your site design, although there are far better ways.
