Internet Explorer 6 background painting bug

Hi folks, you've had success solving my IE bug problems in the past
(well, given me workarounds at least), so I'm back for more help.
Google didn't throw anything up for this one.

I've just redesigned <url:http://www.soylentred.net/>, but IE6 doesn't
like something about it. It doesn't paint the background or border for
the primary content until I scroll, and the top border of the first
entry never renders.

As usual, I could change each css rule in turn to see what's causing
this, but if you've seen this before and want to save me some time I'd
love to hear a workaround.

If the currant regulars are anything like when I last read the group
you won't need to be prompted, but feel free to
criticise/condemn/praise the site's design too.
