Default How to handle scripts that aren't supported by Unicode? - 10-10-2005 , 10:26 AM

I have some Javanese text that I'd like to display on my webpage, using
the Javanese script. The problem is, this script isn't supported by
Unicode as yet. According to the roadmap at
http://www.unicode.org/roadmaps/bmp/, there does exist an "exploratory
code table", but no detailed proposal has yet been written.

I'm not sure what to do now. I'd be tempted to use the proposed code
table for the time being, but that's not in line with the Unicode
standard. Another option would be to use the Private Use Area, but that
doesn't seem very suitable for use on the WWW.

What would be the best way to present this text on a webpage?
