Animated favicons - oh dear - http://www.rsgs.org/ .

Anyway, does Internet Explorer still request /favicon.ico automatically
even if you have a LINK to the icon elsewhere? If so, what's the best
practice? Keep the LINK to the real place (e.g., /site/favicon) and set
up an alias or redirect from /favicon.ico?
