Default E-Commerce Website software out there? - 06-16-2006 , 07:08 PM

Does anyone know of a software is not too expensive for website
building that also allows
for people to order products posted at website like shopping carts,
allow visa/mc/amex, and paypal
etc.? Basically, one that is sophisticated yet easy enough to learn and
get up and running. Something like what alot of e-tailers use. Thanks a
million!

Have you looked at Media Chase?

I like to use the Joomla content management system and install the
VirtueMart component.
OSCommerce is another good e-Commerce CMS.
These are both free. They support several types of payment options.

Mike,

Can you tell me if either of the solutions you recommend allow you
to have the customer order form sent to a fax with e-mail confirmation
rather than going through a payment gateway? I have a merchant
account, and need a signed order form to get preferred rates.

There are ways to send from the internet to a fax, but it wouldn't be a
signed form.
If you require a signed form, just have the customer print the order page,
sign it and fax it.
