If you would like to see a site made entirely with CSS and not a table tag
to be seen (or used) check out my newest creation at:

I have also made those really nice looking rounded text boxes without using
graphics, totally using CSS and "special characters". Also scalloped
corners, and angled corners..

Tables, nested tables, slow down page loading and make it more difficult for
search engine robots when your page is being searched. Too many coding tags
to follow through to get the content, which is what they are searching for.
CSS = faster loading pages, better search engine placement.

Hope this was helpful in answering your question.

Hello,
Recently (to me anyway) there has been a move to eliminate TABLEs and
replace them with DIVs. There have been some posts that ask how to make
multi-column layouts without tables, for instance.
Why are tables becoming less preferred for layout?

I don't mean to whine or show you up, but I thought you might like to
know that in Opera 6.06 your "background" stuff ends at the bottom of
the browser window, while the content continues into a black void
below. Fortunately I can turn off your stylesheet to read the content,
but I guess that's not what you intended.

I suspect it might be the overflow: auto that's causing it; Opera 6
does have a few issues with the 'overflow' property.

Best regards,
-Claire
