Default Diplomacy and Designer Clients... - 12-30-2003 , 04:19 PM

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has had any good experience with diplomatically
speaking with a client who is *not* a designer by trade but who gives you
all sorts of specifications without asking for your input and who disregards
your experience and knowledge.

Care to share your success story? Anyone?

Examine what your client does, and casually explain that you cannot do their
job because it requires too much specialist knowledge. Just like design.

If that doesn't work, welcome the input, and keep increasing the price every
time a change comes in....

Regards,

Pete.

Classic. I'm filing this away for a rainy day - thankies!! Sometimes
the questions I ask seem so "simple" because the answers I get are so
"clear" but then I realize that I'm writing to a group of people that are
really great and know their stuff. Well, that's what I tell myself! haha

William Tasso & Mary Poppins. Interesting combo.
It's often been said that collaboration is the key to success.
