Default yahoo-lycos-msn - all the same? - 11-04-2004 , 07:00 PM

A site of mine listed on all three SEs has the same crappy listing -
A title and nothing but rubbish 'symbols' where the description should
be. Are they all connected or getting some of their listings from the
same place?

Yep. Yahoo currently supplies part of MSN's results until MSN goes
from BETA. Google used to supply Yahoo's search results until Yahoo
went out on their own. Yahoo owns AllTheWeb, Inktomi, and Overture.
Google supplies the results for AOL search. Etc.

Bruce Clay has a SE chart at his site.
