I know that the current opinion is that to pay the $300/yr for a Yahoo directory listing may be a poor investment but I'm reconsidering. I should add that I already am listed with our main site but now have a new site specifically for a single product. The category I would probably be listed has a PR of 4 and the added chance of being listed on other search engines with the exposure may be of value. I should add that in my industry a PR of 4 is good and the chance of getting IBLs is low since the industry is way behind the times with its' thinking. Any opinions? At present I have two "grandfathered" free listings in Yahoo Directory. When the directory was used heavily for Yahoo SERPs the response was great. I now have to do much more to stay near the pack with CPC , SEO work etc. The new directory submission will be another site with completely different products and content.
