Default Ohh a SEO Question for you all ;) - 08-20-2006 , 08:38 PM

Hello People

I have posted here a few time so you prob know me Hi

If I send a link to the home page of my website say with say 'fender
guitars' will the deaper pages get any SERP benefit? or litterally just
that page? home page? - I know some PR wll pass down but anything els?

At the moment I vary up my 'aiming for serp anchor text' links a between
home and deap pages...

Cheers

James

Ultimately assuming they're all connected then they'll all benefit.

A good thing too, it looks more natural.

Hi James,

In general, yes, it is better to have links to all your pages.

More specific, yes, your home page will benefit from them. How much
depends on the structure your site has.

Sigh. YES! Assuming they're all connected to each other somehow.

More PR passes to the home page, also the anchor text of the link will
help both the home page and the page the link is on, so if the anchor
text is relevant to the page it is on and the home page the benefit of
the link is two fold.

Makes sense as it covers more SERPs. I try to include some anchor text
for both pages so the page the link is on and the page you are linking
to both benefit.
