Default Two Terms - 12-15-2005 , 05:07 PM

Sorry for the barrage guys

normal terms ( I have some easy SERPS worked out too)

"electric guitars" - 1.2 million some hard pages including manufacturer
pages ..jhs.com
http://www.musicianshop.com/

"electric guitars for sale" - 148'000

for the main electric guitars page. Now id love to go for the harder
term but the "for sale" is still quite well searched.

what do you think about the competing pages and you think its worth
going for the harder term.. up to me I guess.

Sorry for the rambling..

First, i still think you don't undertsand the concept of icluded terms
in natural search. We've ben over this idea with you before, as i recall
-- but here it is again:

The phrase
electric guitars for sale (either in quotes or not)
CONTAINS the phrase
electric guitars (either in quotes or not)
-- so you do NOT need to choose between the two terms -- because the
longer one will naturally include the shorter one.

In other words, any instance of the term < electric guitars for sale >
at your site will also help your positioning for the term < electric
guitars >.

As for whether it is worth your time to optimize your site for a search
term with over 1.2 million competitor pages:

Of course it's woth it! I use the "easy serps" methodology, with
tousands of keywords, but it also so happens that my own logs reveal
that my highest-drawing commercially-related serp term is < love spells

without quotes. This is a search term for which there are about 4.5 million competing pages -- and i am #1.
If i -- an old hippie who can only type in html 1.0 with no php, css,
java, flash, or anything but words -- and whose pages don't even
validate!!! -- can rise to the top in my field, you can do the same in
yours.

Two Terms? Isn't that all presidents and governors are allowed to run?
Although rumor has it Bush is trying to change that....
