Google.com Forwards to Google.it

When we type http://www.google.com http://www.google.it is displayed.
Any ideas how to correct the issue?

I take it you are in Italy?
If not then you have a virus or scumware on your machine.

If not, try this - http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en
or search for Google on Google, see what comes up.
