Default Strange Teoma Finding <= Was my question too hard to answer ? - 05-07-2005 , 04:57 PM

Hi all
I was checking keywords and I found this result in Teoma
http://s.teoma.com/search?q=handcraf...33&search.y=12

On the right hand side, there are two listings. One with the title of
"refine" and the other "resources"

Under "resources" we are listed 5th. (www. houstoncrafts .com)

Now, if you click on the hyperlink and open it in the same window, the
page shows a PR1 (woopie)

But if I click on the same hyperlink and "open in new window" then
the page shows a PR3 (yippy)

I am using google toolbar 2.0.114.9 and IE6 if that helps.

Can anybody shed any light on this please.

Thank you

plh
Paul

Why do you think posting the same message within 24 hours will get you a
better anwer if any?

Don't. Just wait. Maybe no one has an answer. Maybe no one cares.

Well, seeing that quite a few of my posts have been ignored before.
And seeing that it is ON topic ... unlike some OFF topic posts in here
that get replied to quickly.

Hey Paul, I was looking into this yesterday. I noticed a little different
findings also. The web pages opened with different windows gave a smaller PR
value. Or with my page it did. One was the 5 like it is suppose to be and
opened in a new window was a 3. Now I was looking into at other SE's to see
if they did the same. But it appears something strange is going on as my
toolbar doesn't work. Everything is grey!

Hi Stacey
Mine was the other way round. (Higher if opened up in new window)
I looked earlier and every site was greyed out ... but just rechecked
and is working again.
I thought it was just me with the greying, but seeing you had it as
well, confirms I am not going mad <G>

Take care

I know Barbara from a few other groups, and yes, she has little patience
with people who ignore netiquette. I have that "problem" too, now and then
:-D But I have seen her help other people quite often.

Yes, and i've noticed she also does not follow the netiquette either.
