Spaces in urls on google search

Been looking t some searches today and found urls where google prints
a space in the url

http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...an+software+uk

eg:

toysandgames.kelkoo.co.uk/ b/a/cpc_6513_vtl_publisher_c19782963.html
and
news.zdnet.co.uk/software/ applications/0,39020384,39241443,00.htm -

have spaces showing in the url but the links don't have it


What makes this happen? Any ideas?

Always been this way. Or at least as long as I remeber.

This is to allow line wrapping in browsers with small screens. The clickable
links are unaffected.
