sitemap.xml errors

I have been submitting a sitemap.xml file over and over for the past
week and keep getting errors. I created the sitemap file using a
program created by an experienced programmer, many other people have
used this program with ease and have experienced no errors. The
programmer has checked my sitemap.xml and says it looks fine, and to
just resubmit, which I did, to no avail. Then I deleted everything and
started over and still got errors that 10 URL addresses are incorrect.
The URL's listed are fine when I check them in my browser, as suggested
by Google. However, I noticed that both times I got the errors, the
line numbers of the incorrect URL's were the same, but the URL's were
not (because I entered the static pages in a different order the second
time). Can anybody help me with this? And, are these the only pages not
being uploaded, or is nothing being uploaded, since these are the first
10 pages of my sitemap file?

Are you on an Apache server ?
If so, check to see if the URLs are exactly correct as they will be
case sensitive.

eg:
example.com/example.html will be different to
example.com/Example.html
