Default site:www question - 07-11-2004 , 10:12 PM

if I check the number of pages in Google using the site:www.mydomain.com it
finds just 1. But if I do the search site:www.mydomain.com it finds
something more near the mark namely around 14,000. Is this likely to affect
my SERPs or can anyone see any consequent problems with Google if this is
happening. When I check some competitors , I find a variation in the results
when using the www. but nothing as huge as with my site.
