Default "Site Searches" OR "How many pages does my site have?" - 11-04-2006 , 10:03 PM

So a search engine is good if it lists your page on a top position?
Great definition, really.

Perhaps, if you were to concentrate?

Site Search! ... Site Search!... Site Search!...
I want to offer visitors to MY site a good site search feature.

GigaBlast blows both Google and MSN away! No crappy advertising. What
is on top? Giga Bits

Giga Bits suggest other related searches just for my site.

My only regret is that I did NOT discover GigaBlast a month ago.
GigaBlast's STRONG selling point as they advertise themselves is Site
Searches.

I am dumping both MSN and Google on my site, in favor of GigaBlast.

Check out this article listing for my web site. Check out the
descriptions!

What is GigaBlast good for? I just answered that question.

Gigablast will only be any good when it starts crawling properly. Its
search results can only reflect the pages it's spidered - in the case
of all my sites, around 2%.

Crawled my site just fine.

Of course, I submitted my site to them. In fact, I submitted my site
to them again, yesterday. They clearly accepted it. So, the problem is
.... ?

I'll wait until Google Analytics shows traffic from them.

Dumping MSN and replacing it with GigaBlast as my defualt site search
engine on every web page will give my site a GigaBoost. Does Google or
MSN offer that?

With GigaBlast your search boxes are anonymous without any required
advertisements for the SE. Does Google or MSN offer that? Heck,
Google does NOT even provide a webmaster friendly site search box, at
all!!

And, I can easily place different topic specific search boxes on
different parts of my website, such as a search box that will only
search my dictionary of alternative medicine.

Last but not least, I like supporting the underdog. The world needs
alternatives to Google.

In combination with a AltaVista Search Box that allows people to search
the web for specific topics simply by highlighting them, should give
the user friendliness of my Dictionary of Alternative Medicine a mega
boost in its popularity. As in people will back to it, again and
again, once they find it and find out just how easy it is to use; once
these features are implemented.
