Default site map link levels? - 05-02-2004 , 09:13 PM

I am creating a site map and spider map together. I am using keyword rich
names for the links but curious if adding one page of text with key words
and then linking back to the site will have significant impact. In effect
adding one more step to get into the site from the map. For example see
sliding doors inventory.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Articus,
I think I was confused at first by the spider map which is the site map.
Anyway, I feel the extra page will have a good impact, and create more
content. A lot of work though, but will I feel be good in the end.

You want to do a site map Stace? Download Xenu (search for it) and cut
and paste.

2 minutes and 4 seconds to load http://www.armourgates.com/new/slidingdoors.htm
on a 56K modem.

Two minutes is too long, in my opinion.

I love the look of the site. Very clean and inviting.

To order, it looks like I would have to write down the number of the
door I want, find the order link at the bottom of the page, then
select the number from a pulldown menu. Most e-commerce sites let
me click on a link at the item (not the bottom of the page) that
brings me to an order form with that item already filled in. The
better e-commerce sites have a shopping cart system.

I personally don't shop at any site that refuses to tell me the price.

Thanks BB. That's just what I needed. It's a neat little tool.
