SERP Updates

Hi All,

Do SERP's get updated on a hourly / daily basis or only when Google do one
of their big updates? If only on the big updates I will stop daily trawling
through the pages to see if our site has improved :-)

I track several hundred SERPS and every day my position changes for about
50 of them.
