Default SEO software recommendation - 06-08-2005 , 12:51 AM

I'm looking for recommendations between WebPosition Gold, IBP and AddWeb.
Are any better than others? Ease of use? Bells and whistles?
I'm only going to use it on my own site.

Thanks
Brian

i never got on well with Web Position Gold. Dunno why, exactly, just
never got comfy with it. I use IBP but really one use the ranking part
of it. I'm currently reviewing SEO Administrator and I have to say the
link popularity section of it looks very useful. I use the logging
part of WEBCEO too, which is very easy and dead cheap to use.

You really need to sit down and play with each of these tools for some
time to see what suits.

I bought IBP and so far I like it better than WebPostion Gold, much easier
to use.

I am a big fan of Trend MX SEO STudio - you can download a trial
version on the site - http://www.trendmx.com/ I extensively use the
Ranking Reporter which allows me to check the position of my sites
organically across multiple Search Engines.

It's regularly updated and the support is excellent when it's been
required, any I emails I have sent have been personally responded to
with speed and accuracy.

Deffo reccommend this bit of kit.

Cheers

Eeek! top-poster. Oh well...thing is with all of these none of them
will tell you how to optimise. They are fine as memory-joggers but
other than that you can't believe what they tell you as it's
inevitably out of context.

They sent me their stuff but I still use 98SE so I couldn't run it.
I'm trying out SEO Administrator (www.seoadministrator.com) and it
looks to have some very useful features in the backlink checking
department. It's a shame, though, for someone trying to push seo ware
that they didn't have the nous to pick up www.seo-adminstrator.com
which would have been way more sensible.
