seo for a site with no stats

i am doing an seo on a site that has server based webalizer stats
plus the site is getting a redesign and a new domain name.

I need more info re referrers and current search engine traffic and due to
the size of traffic their present stats do not seem comprehensive enough -
eg - i need all referrers not just top 20

so I was wondering what other option i have for stats

should i use something like extreme tracker (paid for with all pages
analysed) or is there a better solution

would code for extremetracker impact SERPs
