Default SEO and Domain Name Forwarding - 09-07-2006 , 05:45 PM

Hi,
I have searched this group and cannot find a suitable answer to my
query, so here i go...

Would having 10 or so domain names (reflecting search strings related
to our product) forwarding to our main website affect our place in the
natural results?

In your response, could you address hosting these names. (does it
matter where?)

Thanks so much for your advice-

I don't think there is any advantage to buying a lot of similar
keyword-heavy domain names and then pointing them at your main web site.

The only time I would do it is if the domain name had a common
misspelling -- something like:

4poker-programme.com

I would also buy 4poker-program.com and 301 redirect one of them to the
other.

programme --> program
colour --> color
etc.

(Kidding about the "poker" part of it.)
