Which is it ? Black Magic or hard work? It's up to you to decide but from experience I can guarantee you that you will not see a #1 ranking on Google or any other search engine without at least a little work, often a lot. It is not likely that you can do it on your own without a little help from someone who has been around for a while or a good software program or both. |

I believe MSN is the key engine to optimize for if you are looking for savvy customers who already know what they want and are not willing to accept a bunch of silly nonsense on your website. They are prepped and ready to buy. You just have to help them find your site. |

Then the other side of the coin is the folks that say SEO is not important that if you have good quality content you will rank high anyhow...sounds a little like LSI. |

I did it on my own, but it did take an effort indeed ("algebra"). High quality content is, more or less, a must. Traffic from Yahoo and MSN is about 25-30% of my search engine visits. The rest comes from google. i |
