Default SEO attacks - 01-17-2006 , 06:12 AM

Is it possible for someone to maliciously damage another's web site
rankings by getting Google to spider unintended query
strings? Google would see many URLS and only one page of content.

I might have just seen this (not the site I mentioned earlier, but another
one).

I don't believe Google when they write that it is difficult to damage
another's rankings. I think I may have seen a few cases of people being
banned because of someone else's work.

From what I am seeing at the moment it looks like it would be really
easy to damage anothers site. But perhaps what I am seeing is the flux
of an update in motion.

If, say IF it would be that easy, it would happen on a very large scale
as we speak. Furthermore Google would be out of business very soon.

So perhaps what you are seeing is indeed an updat in motion or something
else.

Difficult is not the same as impossible.
