icon in Firefox

I have just noticed that in Firefox there are little icons on the tabs.
Can someone tell me how to create one?

Yup. IE uses it too for faves (as does FF for bookmarks, though I
think it may be optional.) It's possible to have one for IE and
another for FF/Moz/SM, which is sometimes useful as the latter can use
any supported image while IE can only use Windows icon files.
