A few years back PR did matter more IMO, so a site that has been under severe SEO since 1999 *might* have had at some point at least a PR6. |

OTOH, it depends a lot on the site itself: some sites can do very well (as in making money) with a handful of low PR links (and hence the PR of the site itself might be low). Others will hardly make money with a PR of 7 :-D and thousands of daily visitors. |

Few years back two sites of mine had a PR of 7. All it took me to get that was taking a few pictures of a plastic toy animal, firing up Xara, and making a logo for GNU :-D. |
